LOOKING BACK, LOOKING AHEAD : FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL
First impressions are huge, especially with there is accurate Coaching, Teaching and Learning.
First Impression Matters, especially on the first day of school. School was waiting for the students with great curiosity. Students arrived with a mix of emotions. Most students however, were bit nervous. The reasons vary from child to child, but kids tend to feel excited about a new beginning in a new school. The teachers ensured safety and protection for children. Apart from this the children were greeted and welcomed with great warmth. All the anxiety and fears had suddenly vanished by the end of the day, as children had already made some friends by then.
After welcoming, school started the assembly with the name of God, followed by a Welcome Song, followed by various activities and undertakings. The undertakings were full of content, structure and processes of teaching and learning, which the school provides in accordance with its educational objectives and values. Developing respectful relationships within the whole school community, i.e., students, parents, teaching and non-teaching staff as well as school management and the wider community is a value system that the school focus upon.
The members, committed to make a positive difference in the academic achievement of children, encouraging enrolment, attendance, and retention of students, using new methodologies, activity-based learning, with intense and additional support was visible clearly.
The activities on this day focused on learning which was child-centered and self-paced without regard to age/grade considerations; where special emphasis was on class-room settings as well as the learning environment beyond the four walls.
The students were taught School etiquettes, followed by games like kindergarten activity, Ludo, Snakes & Ladder, and Puppet Show on Moral Values etc.
Parents appreciated this effort and interpreted it as a sign of meticulousand thorough learning.
Reaching out at the end of the first day set a precedent that emphasized on the value that we place on our mission statement. Parents will quickly see how their kids are in the hands of a teacher who care enough to share his or her enthusiasm with families.
